We will have another prayer and healing service on Sunday, August 2nd. For this service, we will have an extended time of worship after a short teaching on prayer and healing. The pastors will lead the congregation through categories of prayer, and people will be invited to raise their hands to indicate that they wish to be prayed for regarding something in that category. Others will then be able to move toward each person asking for prayer, and praying silently as the pastor leads.
Since our kids programming is still on its adjusted schedule for summer, we are excited to have our elementary schoolers present for this time of prayer as well!
In addition to this dedicated prayer time, we will also still have a couple of prayer teams available for individual prayer during communion, as is our norm.
You can help the clergy and the prayer team to prepare for this time of healing prayer by thinking ahead about areas in your life where you would like healing. These can be anything from physical ailments to emotional and spiritual needs, for yourself or for another. Moreover, if you are willing to share those prayer needs, the clergy and prayer team will begin praying even before Sunday for God to work through his Holy Spirit. You can share these requests by emailing Pastor Brit.
