“Oh the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.”
Grace Kids
Our vision is that all kids at Grace Northridge would be transformed by the gospel, encounter the risen Christ, and be motivated by radical love to share the hope of Christ with the world.
For more information on our Kids Ministry, please contact our Family Ministry Director Shanti Puccini.
We have moved back to 2 services! Our kids program will be available at the 9:00am service for children aged 0-5th grade. At our 10:45am service will will have classes available for children aged 0-PreK.
-
When you walk into the Gathering Hall, you will see the large lit up “Kids” sign and double doors leading to the Grace Kids check-in area. There you will be greeted by one of our check-in greeters and they will walk you through what the morning will look like for your children.
-
Drop off for infants and toddlers begins 15 minutes prior to the start of the worship service.
For infants (0-24 months):
We have two trained nursery workers who care for all infants.
Our infant room has music, instruments, a variety of toys, and developmentally appropriate books for them to enjoy.
For toddlers (2s and 3s):
There is one trained toddler teacher and one trained assistant.
Our toddlers begin with free play and then move into a Bible teaching with music, instruments, storytelling, and response time (play-doh, coloring, craft, or reading).
-
During the the service, all children will be dismissed and walked to their respective classrooms. They will return for communion.
Our curriculum follows the liturgical church year and follows this general pattern in each class:
Advent
Epiphany & Lent: Life and Ministry of Jesus
Eastertide & Pentecost: History and Life of the Church
Summer: Psalms/deep dive into the Lord’s Prayer, Creeds, etc.
Fall: Old Testament
During our 9:00am service, our ages are split up as follows:
3s/4s class
Prek/Kinder
1st - 2nd
3rd - 4th
5th
During our 10:45am service our classes are combined to serve the age range of 3y-5y.
-
For the safety of our children, all of our volunteers have completed an application process and have been trained in our policies and procedures. They have passed a background check and have completed additional Ministry Safe Certification Training.
Grace Students
The Grace Northridge Student Ministry exists to make disciples who live on mission in their schools, on their teams, and in their neighborhoods
We connect, worship, grow, and serve primarily via Senior & Junior High Bible Studies along with other weekly opportunities. Throughout the year we also partner with Blueprint Ministries and Young Life to allow students the opportunity to serve the local community, worship with other serving groups, and get to create deeper shared relationships and memories.
For more information about how you can connect with the Student Ministry, please contact Student Ministry Director Gabby Zapata.
