Serving at Grace
As followers of Christ, we are called not simply to attend church, but to belong to one another and serve one another in love. Scripture shows us that Christian community is marked by generosity, encouragement, humility, and sacrificial service, following the example of Jesus. God has given each of us unique gifts and abilities—not merely for our own benefit, but for the good of the whole body. When we serve, we help create a church where people are welcomed, cared for, discipled, and equipped to grow in Christ. Serving isn’t just something we do for the church; it is part of how we live faithfully as the Church.
Below you will find descriptions of the different areas where you can serve at Grace. To express interest in joining a team, please fill out this form!

Worship Music Team
What we do:
• Band roles - Most of the time, a group of 5-7 band members is the goal: 1 drummer, 1
bassist, 1 pianist, 1 electric guitarist, 1 additional instrument (violin, trumpet, synthesizer, etc.),
1-2 singers, and Joel usually sings and plays acoustic guitar.
• Rehearse - On most Wednesdays from 7:30-8:45pm, we practice music for the upcoming
Sunday. Joel uses Planning Center and Spotify to share sheet music and audio files.
• Worship - On Sundays, we practice again at 7:45am before worship, then lead the music to
facilitate corporate worship.
• Special Occasion Music - From time to time, there is an opportunity for music that is out of
the ordinary. If you like doing solos, or singing in choirs, or participating in worship with a
form of music different than our usual worship band, you can let Joel know about your gifts
and he will look for opportunities to use them at Grace.
Time Commitment: 1 hour during the week, 1 hour before worship, 1.5 hours during each
service

other sound system components are set up correctly and in working order. Monitor the
