Practicing The Way | The Sabbath Practice
Sabbath is a twenty-four hour time period set aside to stop, rest, delight, and worship. It is the best day of the week. In our era of chronic exhaustion, emotional unhealth, and spiritual stagnation, few things are more necessary than the recovery of this ancient practice.
Confirmation Class Week 3
This is an eight-week course exploring the foundations of the Christian faith, ideal for those seeking confirmation or adult baptism. Topics include Creation, Redemption, the Problem of Pain, Scripture, the Holy Spirit, Sacraments, and the Church.

Practicing the Way | The Scripture Practice
The Scripture Practice is just one of nine core Practices in the body of resources from Practicing the Way. In it, we will consider how to read, meditate upon, study, and memorize Scripture, and then have opportunities to go beyond that both individually and in community. The Practices are spiritual disciplines centered around the life rhythms of Jesus. They are designed not to add even more to your already over-busy life, but to slow you down and create space for the Spirit of God to form you to be with Jesus, become like him, and do what he did. Ultimately, they are a way to experience the love of God.
This practice will take place during the 9:00am service in the Old School Makerspace building. All of the PTW Practices are succinct 4-session studies, and the dates for this practice will be February 22, March 1, March 15, and March 22. If you have children who normally attend Kids Worship during that time, they can attend the beginning portion and ending portion with you as they normally would in the sanctuary, and they can take part in Kids Worship during that middle 45-minute segment.
